We recommend sand-filled footbags for the beginner, because the sand makes them softer and easier to "stall" or "delay" on your foot or knee, however they don't bounce as much as a pellet-filled bag. Sand-filled footbags make it easier to learn tricks and are great for practicing with. We fill ours about 1/3rd full of sand, for stickiness plus responsiveness. Please see our sand-filled Dirtbag product page for more detailed information about how to choose. Back to Top

Pellet filled footbags are bouncier and will kick off your knee or foot better, but require a bit more skill to be able to use effectively. Pellets add volume to the footbag to help it move in a straight line, for more a true "kicking" experience. Please see our pellet-filled footbag product page for more detailed information. Bridging the gap between hands and feet is what is fueling our invention of hybrid footbags and hybrid juggle balls. By combining two layers of material for the outside covering of the Hybrid, capturing heavy crushed rock between the two layers means that most of the Hybrid's weight is at the rim, allowing several things to occur simultaneously: 1. True flight through the air = less collisions and more solid contact with the hands or feet 2. Two layers of cover material sewn together create a bias as in plywood where more layers mean a much stronger finished product. 3. Very little stretch over the outside of the structure. Because of this, soft or firm, hybrids keep their shape even after many machine washings. 4. The dual filler is non co-mingling, which isolates the heavy filler (crushed rock) to the outside portion of the ball and the light filler (plastic pellets) to the inside of the ball. 5. Hybrids are completely machine washable and dryable.
Hybrids provide more predictability in flight, a great synthetic suede grip or feel, and are completely washable. Someone was bound to come up with this technology sooner or later, we are happy we did. We think our juggling balls and footbags are the highest quality you can find. They may cost a little more, but they last longer and provide much better performance. Please let us know what you think!

It was the JUICE FACILE footbag, which helped Kenny Shults along his way to winning more than 50 championship titles. In 1985, as he was accepting his championship title, he whipped out the Juice Facile said: "This is the Juiciest footbag I have ever kicked!" At that point, the crowd all started chanting "JUICE, JUICE, JUICE, JUICE."
We do love to tell that story, but it's because nothing since then has changed...our footbags are still handmade, still fly over the moon, and are still the best quality footbag you can get. For professional play or just for fun, you can't beat a Flying Clipper footbag or juggling ball, and we know you'll agree once you try one. See for yourself, check out our product catalog!
